Types of Leases
Our residential properties that are ready to move into straight away are
available on an Assured Shorthold Tenancy (AST) Agreement. The
residential properties requiring refurbishment are available on a Fully
Repairing and Insuring (FRI) Lease. Our commercial properties are on
commercial leases. See below for details on each type of tenancy agreement.
Assured Shorthold Tenancy (AST)
An AST Agreement is usually for a term of 6 or 12 months after which it may
be renewed. The Landlord is obliged to carry out routine maintenance.
Fees and charges for an AST Lease:
Our administration fee for an AST Agreement is £250. £150 is charged when you have found a property to rent and submit the completed MARAS credit check application form(s). The balance of £100 is payable once the result of the credit check is known and both parties wish to proceed with a tenancy.
These fees cover credit and reference checking, production of agreements and
creation of a Schedule of Condition. Please ask for details of charges relating to FRI Leases.
Please note these fees are non-refundable in the event that you change your mind after you have asked for a tenancy agreement to be produced.
Properties are only let after a successfull credit check and reference procedure
has been completed.
A deposit is also required, equal to two months
